Ron Davis was elected to the Travis County Commissioners Court in 1998. He represents Precinct One, the northeast quadrant of our county, including East Austin.

Ron grew up in East Austin where he was raised by his grandparents, the Rev. & Mrs. S.L. Davis. Before joining the Commissioners Court, Ron was known for his accomplishments in the community including keeping an Austin Community College campus in East Austin and forcing major oil companies to move their tank farms out of East Austin neighborhoods.

His accomplishments on the Commissioners Court include securing water and wastewater service for Kennedy Ridge, a subdivision that was abandoned by developers, obtaining private-sector funding for a swimming pool at Travis County's East Metro Park, expanding the 2005 Travis County bond package to include an additional $15 million for open space and $15 million more for mobility, and fighting Tom DeLay's Congressional redistricting scheme all the way to the Supreme Court, helping bring Congressman Lloyd Doggett back home to Austin and Travis County.
